The Oliver and District Parks and Recreation Department hosts a variety of events in our community for people of all ages. The department hosts sporting events, workshops, and festivals many of which recur annually.
To Volunteer at Recreation Department events, toggle over the 'Our Community' tab, click 'Volunteer Opportunities' and then scroll down to Recreation Centre to find our volunteer information form.
Why make a mess of your play room when you can make it at ours? Come play with our equipment, run around or do a craft in the Oliver Community Hall.

Our 2025 Event saw 100+ Players, 2026 event registration is now open!
2026 event: March 5,6,7. Players play 1 game per day, social events are hosted on March 5th and 6th.
Road Race #4 in the Interior Running Association series, this flat, scenic 10K loop along the Okanagan River channel and around Oliver Community Park is a great event for runners of all abilities and experience. Back this year is the addition of the 3K loop for runners looking for a shorter distance. There is an aid station on the course and medical support on site. Refreshments, awards and draw prizes follow the race.

BC's Youth Week is a celebration intended to help foster a sense of connectedness between youth aged 13-18 and their communities. September 30th 2025
We are gathering with our friends and neighbors from the Osoyoos Indian band and coming together through a community sporting event. Meet at the Band office, to mingle, reflect, and then walk down together to the Oliver and District Arena. We will have a couple of speakers to welcome us to the arena before starting a youth hockey game.
ImageOur 2024 event moved back indoors and was a great success, thank you No Frills, Buy Low, Pharmasave, Shopper's Drug Mart, Right to Play students, volunteers and the 300+ community members who joined us for a dance!
2025 we are bringing back another dance! Featuring DJ Wyred for Sound, this event is back for an extended stay on a friday night Families can join us 6:00-9:00, Teens and adults stay out a little later we are playing the music until 10:00PM!
Our 2024 event saw roughly 250 people and 60 members of the Oliver Elementary School Fine Arts Program attend for breakfast, crafts, music and of course photos with Santa. This event was sponsored by Kevin's No Frills and facilitated by roughly 20 volunteers.
