Mondays & Wednesdays: 1:00-2:00PM. Fridays 11:45-12:45PM. October 5th - December 18th.  *No Skate October 12th, November 11th, 

Bring the family and enjoy an hour of music and skating, with a rink attendant on hand to assist. It's great exercise and a fun way to spend an afternoon. Regular rates apply. 

Weekends, October 17- Dec 19 4:30-5:45PM

No skating on November 15, or 29th. 

Lace up for popular free weekend skating! A lively, music filled skate whether you're practicing your stride or simply having fun. Cashier attendants on hand to assist with skate rentals. 

Admission Free. Regular skate rental fees ($4.25/pair + tax) apply.

Thursdays November 12 - Dec 17 - 9:15-10:15AM

A great opportunity for tykes to give ice skating a try without the crowds! Visit with other children and their caregivers and practice skating during this tots-only time. Strollers are welcome. Plastic Skate Aids will be available. An experienced skater will be on the ice to provide tips, tricks and a hand up when needed. This program is for children ages 5 & under.  

$2.50/participant

Sundays Nov 1 - Dec 27 6:00-6:45PM

Enjoy a relaxed and welcoming time on the ice during a moderately paced, less crowded skating opportunity. Stay active, move at your own pace, and connect with peers in a safe and social environment. All skill levels are welcome! 

Ages 60+ 

$4.00 Drop in. Skate rentals available $4.25/pair + tax. 

Sundays Oct 4 - Dec 20 3:00-4:15PM  *No Shinny Nov 15, 29

Children ages 5+ are invited to hit the ice with their parents or caregivers in this non-competitive ice-time. Whether your passing the puck or learning to skate, this is a great way to stay active, build skills, and share quality time on the ice. 

CSA approved helmets and Hockey Gloves are required (additional protective gear is recommended). Open to players and goalies. 

Wednesdays Oct 7 - Dec 16 - 8:30-10:30AM *No hockey Nov 11

$7.65 /player after tax. 

Recreational drop-in hockey session for adults. Whether you're looking to stay active, sharpen your skills, or just enjoy a good game with fellow hockey enthusiasts, this is your chance to hit the ice.

Full gear required. 

The Oliver & District Arena is now home of the Oliver Outlaws Junior Hockey team. Tickets are available at the door (Cash, Credit, Debit).

Our recreation facilities are allocated based on our Recreation Facility Allocation Policy. 

The Town provides user groups with bookable spaces in a fair and equitable manner to improve the quality of life and leisure pursuits of residents and visitors. 

Space demand often exceeds availability resulting in the following priorities for the allocation of recreation space (the following allocation order is for ice/arena space only):

1. Town of Oliver/Oliver & District Recreation sponsored programs, services, and events (including Tourism-based activities supported by the Town), and Council/RDOS endorsed activities
2. Youth Non-Profit
3. Adult Non-Profit
4. School Group Local (Monday to Friday during school hours)
5. Local Private
6. Tourism
7. Non-Resident
8. School Group Non-Local (Monday-Friday during school hours)
9. Commercial

The Town of Oliver holds certain considerations and appeals can be made. Please view the document linked above for all details. 

Should an applicant miss the deadline, they will forfeit all priority and only be considered on a first -come, first-served basis once all other applications have been addressed.
