The Town of Oliver invites the community to “What’s Happening in Oliver” on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Oliver Community Hall (6359 Park Drive). From 5:00 – 6:00 p.m., a variety of current Town of Oliver initiatives will have booths set-up to provide information and answer any questions from local residents.
Information Booths include:
• Volunteer opportunities with the Town of Oliver
• Information about the Town’s housing needs assessment
• Help the Town map disaster risks and hazards in the community
• Organics waste collection program
• Town’s Accessibility and Age Friendly Committee will be seeking input on ideas for a grant the Town is submitting to help improve accessibility at Town facilities.
From 6:00 – 7:00 p.m., consultants will present the draft Town of Oliver wildfire plan (the Community Wildfire Resiliency Plan). This is an opportunity for the public to learn about some of the recommendations, and provide feedback on the draft plan.
Light snacks and refreshments will be provided during the event.
